EFSCA Conference 2026 in Ostrava – Day 2 brought us closer together

Day two of the EFSCA Annual Conference proved that collaboration is the backbone of emergency response – whether it’s the cooperation between emergency services in integrated safety centers, fighting wildfires in Greece or coordinating international humanitarian aid.

Highlights of Day 2:
Marek Hütter and Dusan Valek took us inside emergency radio communication training, demonstrating how simulations in dedicated polygons prepare teams for real-world chaos. Because in a crisis, every second counts!
A guided tour through different learning environments in Fire Service College in Frydek-Mistek showcased how hands-on training facilities are shaping the next generation of firefighters.

Iva Brejzova, Jiri Rogowski, and Lukas Popp shared lessons from the 2025 wildfire response in Greece and the EU’s international operations – a powerful reminder that disasters don’t stop at borders.

Networking with a View – The Official EFSCA Dinner at L’Osteria Ostrava was more than just a meal – it was a celebration of the bonds that make cross-border cooperation possible. From shared stories to future collaborations, tonight was about strengthening the EFSCA family.

What’s Next? On the last day we’ll close with the EFSCA General Assembly, where we’ll reflect on the future of fire service training in Europe.
