General Assembly

The General Assembly of the European Fire Service Colleges’ Association (EFSCA) is a key decision-making body that meets at least annually to direct the organization’s activities in line with its aims and objectives. During these meetings, national representatives from member countries gather to make important decisions. The Assembly appoints a President, Secretary, and Treasurer for a term of three years and can only vote validly if at least 50% of its members are present. Decisions are made by majority vote, with the President holding the casting vote in the event of a tie.

Amendments to the Association’s Constitution require the presence and agreement of at least two-thirds of the members. The General Assembly also selects the Chairman from the host nation’s delegation, who holds office for one year and serves as Vice President during that term. Additionally, working groups can be formed to address specific issues as necessary.
